Rules

General Rules

  • Any inappropriate, insulting, disrespectful or prejudicial team name is forbidden.
  • Any attempt to alter the equipment on site or to change the network access to the tables.
  • Any attempt to contaminate other teams or HFCTF staff by any means whatsoever.
  • Any attempt to set up a hotspot, fake scoreboard, wifi scan, etc.
  • Any attempt to use the competition as an excuse to attack elsewhere.
  • Denial of service is prohibited.
  • Do not use brute force on the flags submission system.
  • Do not give out flags or writeups/soluces during the competition.
  • Do not tamper with flags.
  • Don’t attack the scoreboard in general. Any more than 2 will result in expulsion from the team.
  • Do not ruin the fun of the event for other participants.
  • Be courteous and respectful.
  • If something seems broken, let the challenge designer know on Discord! Even with a flag problem!
  • Anyone going against these rules will be ejected from the CTF, BUT ESPECIALLY their entire team.

Required equipment

  • Your PC/Laptop and anything else you deem necessary for your comfort.
  • 1 EDITION ALL WIFI! and via a public IP fixe which will be proxied by our partner Palo-Alto (We’re watching you!)
  • Powerbar, Timer, Small lamp, keyboard / mouse, pillow, etc. (Of course, sweets, chocolates, chips, etc. Anjoy!).

CTF Classic/Pro Registration Rules

  • Be sure to read all the infoRmation when you register with EventBrite
  • A valid email address must be provided when registering.
  • An account on the Hackfest Discord is required.
  • Teams can be made up of a maximum of 6 people (we will mix teams that are not complete).
  • REead and stay informed under the HFCTF (current year) All useful information will be found here and constantly updated.
